Don’t Underestimate Me: A Cam Girl with a Psychology Degree Breaking Stereotypes

EXCLUSIVE: Sophie Rhyder earns over £5,000 a month on one of the world’s biggest Sєx streaming platforms LiveJasmin where she uses her education to confide in her clients

Cam girls are often surrounded by a stereotype that suggests they’re vulnerable and unintelligent.

Now one saucy model is determined to change just that. Sophie Rhyder is determined to correct the ᴀssumption as she boasts a degree in psychology and criminology.

She pockets an eye-watering £5,000 a month on one of the world’s biggest Sєx streaming platform LiveJasmin where she educates her clients.

The model listens to their woes, supports them however she can and feels more like a therapist than a cam girl. Now speaking with Daily Star, she revealed how people shouldn’t underestimate women in her industry.

Sophie turned to the world of camming as she struggled financially. She said: “I needed an income boost. I also had no time off around the holidays, which is important for family time.

“I knew I had the skills you need to be a successful cam girl, such as communication, creativity, and confidence, so I decided to give it a go.”

The cam girl studied at university before turning to a different career path. She added: “I wouldn’t I want to work for someone else again. I set my own schedule and take as much time off as I want.”

She supports her clients in many ways, not just Sєxually. Once she spent seven hours merely speaking to a viewer during their private session.

The beauty admitted: “I believe the biggest issue my clients face is loneliness. In today’s world, we have more ways of connecting than ever, yet we’re the loneliest we’ve ever been.

“I keep them company and listen to them, while ensuring they have a good time. I like being the woman who can make them happy and satisfy their desires.”

Sophie hopes to one day change the misconception in her industry. She continued: “I can see why people underestimate us if their ᴀssumptions are based on old-fashioned stereotypes.

“However, it takes a lot of effort and skill to be a successful model, being good looking isn’t enough. We’re often performing for 10 hours straight and we always have to be on top form, especially mentally.

“Maintaining your clients is a 24-hour job; if I receive messages or calls, I take them. Yes, it’s a fun job, but it’s not easy.”

Over the years, Sophie has faced a lot of comments about her work with people telling her to “get a real job”. Others have told her she’s only “good at being naked”.

She concluded: “All these comments come from people who’ve never even spoken to me directly. I actually have lots of hobbies; I do archery, ice skating, I read, cook, paint, and enjoy calligraphy. There’s so much more to me than my job.

“People should be less quick to judge. My friends are accepting, largely because I tell them my fun stories and they get to see what the job’s really like.

“I’m not currently in a relationship. My generation thankfully seems more open to camming and Sєx work, however I see clients of all ages!”
