Curvy influencer says ‘you don’t need to lose weight for holiday’ as she strips off

Influencer Sophie Louise Hughes is known for sharing body positive posts with her 39,200 Instagram followers.

And this week, she urged fans not to feel like they have to lose weight before their holidays.

The pink-haired beauty showed off her own ‘lumps and bumps’ in a pink ʙικιɴι while she holidayed in Bali.

Sophie said confidence to pose in swimsuit doesn’t come from a pre-holiday diet – it comes from ‘healing the relationship you have with your body’.

She also showed that how you look in your swimwear in snaps can often change due to things like the pose you are pulling or the lighting.

Sophie posted two snaps of herself in a pool in Bali to make her point.

The left-hand side pH๏τo appeared to make her look slimmer as she elongated her frame while standing up and posing with her arm above her head. This picture was captioned ‘Bali body’.

This was shared alongside another pH๏τo where Sophie let her natural tummy free as she sat cross-legged beside the pool. It was labelled ‘Bali body’ too.

Addressing fans, Sophie wrote: “I don’t know who needs to hear this but you don’t need to lose six pounds before your holiday to be worthy of love.

“Here’s the secret, confidence doesn’t come from that pre holiday crash diet which sees you pile it all back on the minute you get there. Healing your relationship with your body is the answer not eating dry snack a jacks and living in deprivation trying to sneak in 100 squats whilst you brush your teeth because some influencer made you feel like you’re not good enough. YEP I SAID IT, and I’ll say it louder.”

She added: “Focus on the fact that comparison culture has you conditioned in to thinking that other women don’t have a belly roll when they sit down, that they have perfect perky boobs, that cellulite is exclusive to you, that your stretch marks aren’t a work of art.

“When in fact your body, your lumps and bumps, every last one of them, are the most normal thing in the world.”

Fans thanked Sophie for the post, as many admitted they felt like they needed to drop the pounds before a holiday.

One wrote: “Me. I needed to hear this. I think it’s about time I started being excited about my holiday and stopped dreading how I’m going to feel in a ʙικιɴι.”

While another added: “I love your posts – I needed this today.”

“Love your message so much, you inspire me, added a third.”

The post comes after Sophie flaunted her weight gain back in March, as she told fans she was ‘more than a waistline measurement’.
