The newest series of hit MTV show Celebrity Ex on the Beach has reportedly been thrown into jeopardy after one of its biggest stars has left the show just days after filming the show began
Celebrity Ex on the Beach has reportedly been thrust into chaos after one of the stars is said to have quit the show just days after shooting started.
Former The Only Way is EsSєx star Yazmin Oukhellou allegedly walked from the reality show, which sees ex-partners work through their issues in the hope of reconnecting. Oukhellou was set to be a key part of the newest series of the show which will be hitting screens early next year.
But just days after shooting began, 29-year-old Yazmin reportedly dramatically left the show, leaving production in turmoil. According to an insider close to the show, the reality star walked from the programme, citing “personal reasons”.
The source added that Yazmin was completely caught off guard when she spotted her former beau, James Lock – aged 36. Speaking to The Sun, the insider said: “Yaz knew filming Celeb Ex On The Beach would be challenging as the whole purpose of the show is to create drama.
They continued: “But within days of James arriving, she realised she couldn’t cope with being in the villa with him and decided to leave. She wasn’t prepared to give up her time on the show for her own mental health.”
James and Yazmin were loved up together for two years before dramatically calling time on their relationship. Lock was accused by his girlfriend of “cheating” on her with a number of women whilst on holiday in Turkey.
It comes just days after Yazmin was confirmed to be flying out to film the show, ditching her former job at the ITV dramality show and leaving the UK behind. Earlier this year, Oukhellou chose to leave the show behind and instead rooting herself in the Middle Eastern city of Dubai.
Yazmin’s big career U-turn comes just months after she was involved in a horrific car crash that tragically killed her then-boyfriend Jake McLean.
A source close to Yazmin said at the time that when the offer came through to do Celebrity Ex on the Beach, she wanted to take it on and “forget all her troubles”.
