EXCLUSIVE: Babestation cam girl Roxxy Clark says rejoining the adult industry saved her life after it gave her the tools to leave the dark situation she was in – but she is still judged for the job
A domestic abuse survivor said rejoining Babestation almost 12 months ago helped save her life.
Roxxy Clark, 37, is a former dancer and adult actress who took a four year hiatus after falling in love – but the relationship turned toxic.
Her confidence slumped to an all time low and she believes her chances of being alive today would be slim if it wasn’t for her current job that gave her stability and financial freedom.
Speaking exclusively with Daily Star, she said: “I went back into the industry purely because I was a victim of domestic abuse. I am not going to lie to you.
“I will tell you the honest truth and I really honestly believe that people judge this industry so much and it aggravates me because if it wasn’t for this industry I wouldn’t be alive today. I wouldn’t be here.
“I probably wouldn’t have my daughter in my care because the industry saved me mᴀssively. Basically Covid happened and it was before I came back and I had no income, no way of looking after myself to get myself out of the situation I was in.”
Roxxy then started webcamming from home, something that allowed her to be financially independent.
She then escaped the troublesome relationship before taking a job at Babestation. And the mum, who herself had a difficult childhood and left home at 13, was reluctant to accept the role because her self-belief was shattered.
“I lost my confidence and I didn’t think I was good enough,” she said. “One of the managers tracked me down and she was like ‘come and work for Babestation’ and I said I didn’t think I was good enough and I didn’t think I was at that level.
“I am 37 now and it has really destroyed my confidence but every single step they have helped me and have supported me. It has been nearly a year and I have worked hard.”
But despite her success, she explained that strangers, and even those in authority, hold prejudices against her because of what she does for a living.
She said: “I don’t have any family, I am literally on my own and I say to people today that there is still a stigma on the job. People are not educated on it and they judge you straight away.
“But it basically saved me and gave me a purpose to get up and work hard and the people in the environment I work in are so lovely and looked after me.
“Even to this day now I have some days where I think this is hard but I go to the studio and they are so lovely. The women I work with in the industry are so nice.”
Roxxy said her personal life is also thriving thanks to CrossFit training which she does with a coach every morning and wants to compete all over the world with.
She has also competed in running marathons this year but perhaps the funniest moment of her 2023 so far came when she opened her front door dressed in Sєxy latex after her delivery driver recognised her from Babestation.
